divergent thinking: the technique to increase your productivity and creativity results

I'll tell you about a technique that may not know but that you will bring interesting benefits.
I mean the practice of divergent thinking , a different way of using the brain.
As a rule anyone to function uses the mind, thought.
And that thought is the beginning of everything. Whatever you want to do, it is rooted in thought. If you project to open a blog , or you decide to cook a dish, or plan to start a business , or find a new career path ... whatever it is, first of all you have to think about it . It all starts with an idea in your mind, in your head.
And the head serves to think, not only, as my father said to wear a hat or comb. But unfortunately not everyone acts with head, not everyone thinks and not everyone uses the thought of the most productive and beneficial as possible.

In short, I try to apply the maximum Pareto law (20% of your actions produce 80% of your profits) and use (try to use) the brain in a logical, orderly and focused on my goals.
But logic does not mean always follow the same paths. In fact, sometimes acting logically implies breaking all be different, explore and innovate.
And that is precisely the divergent thinking .
And that finally, after this speech, I'll explain what 🙂.
What is divergent thinking?

It is one that for problem solving and decision-making uses the mind creatively, alternative, disruptive and a different logical and traditional sense. In a different linear always felt that would be the characteristic of its opposite: the convergent thinking .
If traditionally used the mind to find a solution to a problem in a Cartesian and predictable sense, divergent thinking creates or explore multiple solutions to problems from multiple perspectives and in ways that may never have been raised.
For it breaks new ground , challenging assumptions, questions evidence, explores unimaginable places and, ultimately, acts without limits to provide as many answers as possible from any point of view. It is therefore a flexible thinking .
We know that times are changing. Well, actually they have long been changing, but today the phenomenon is more evident than ever. That means that, when looking for solutions, you can not solve the dilemmas and problems with current methods and schemes of the past because they do not serve, have nothing to do. There are new problems, there are new ways to solve them and, importantly, the solutions are not created but must be created. The latter is what you have great relationship with divergent thinking .

Thus a need flexibility in all, flexibility that forces us to use the mind creatively, innovative, without limits and without conditions. Without the shackles of the past and without preconceived solutions.
Practical examples of divergent thinking
Think divergently therefore is to look different (and more) to the known solutions.
Let's see some examples .
Imagine that you studied medicine at university. A convergent thinking , when looking profession, think of known alternatives: open a private clinic, study competitions for a public hospital health ... a divergent thinking would create, instead, another solution (market medical products, for example, business) plan or choose an option that had nothing to do with medicine (without being bound by what the person who has studied).
Another example: a person who had an empty house in a big city might consider rent for residence ( convergent thinking ), or you could rent for days or weeks holiday apartment or hourly for therapies ( divergent thinking ).
Another example: the dynamics of the infoproductos . The talent has always been used to apply to the profession in question, but today, with the knowledge economy can be used to transmit, plain and simple, others. Thus you become a teacher or instructor, but have no title whatsoever.

The benefits of this kind of thinking are clear: without excluding options provided allows you to increase the range of possibilities. You have more solutions, more answers and, consequently, more results.
What can you do then to promote this way of thinking? Let's look at some strategies.
Techniques to develop divergent thinking
# 1 Search in unexpected places
As a rule, when you need information about something you go to where it is supposed to be, right? For example, if you want to look for business ideas, grab a book, you look online, ask experts known ...

That means, for example, that perhaps more than reading or studying, when looking for solutions, you can do things not originally foreseen in your range of probabilities for finding the answer.
# 2 Free Association of ideas
This assumption implies two things:
♦ First, brainstorm, sun or company @ otr @ s. That means considering everything you can think of , but has no relation. If you are looking for solutions to "avoid heat" and you think "snacking" you point. Do not exclude any possibility in advance, no matter how absurd it is. Rain free ideas. Do not we want to be free ? As we stated at all.
♦ Second, freely associate those ideas, something that Freud already spoke, and here implies that: unite, relate and associate of the most spontaneous and intuitive way possible what you think of . This approach, in particular, is absolutely essential if it is what is new and disparate things, such as seeking business innovation .
# 3 Consider the situation as a whole and as is
We usually have two problems:
♦ On the one hand, do not see the way they are, but continually interpret and classify them. This Krishnamurti explained it very well: we see not what is, but what our mind qualifies and defined as such (the representation we have of that). To do this the mind uses your past experiences, accumulated knowledge, acquired data, stored stimuli ... and representation forms, gives a name and qualifies.

When we look at the situation as a whole and not just a part, we can access a higher consciousness , give a qualitative leap and access unknown parcels, perhaps to self - discovery . In this new and unknown, in that area to explore area is where we can find solutions that were unaware.
No. 4 Forget the past and references
We have said before that the mind has a tendency to do their job: to qualify, define, sorting, comparing ... and it needs the past and references.
That's what he does when he practices a convergent thinking , but in the divergent thinking we forget what it was, what we live, what happened, what others are doing ... and not compare or dive into the wealth of experiences and knowledge we have stored in the mind. Moreover, we forget the mind and thinking to move to create. This implies forgetting references and knowledge accumulated and move to make from scratch , ex novo , without preconditions and without anyone judge.
# 5 No accumulate information but to empty it
We believe that the more data accumulate we will be better able to work something out. In other words: the more we know we have it easier.

The tendency is to seek and gather information that will occupy the space of our brain and fills. So, there comes a time when there is no more, and in fact I am convinced that you will have moments when you feel saturated.
This saturation prevents think, decide and take action. You blocked.
The solution is not to accumulate information but to empty it. On the one hand, instead of learning to unlearn, and other vacuum leave room for it arises intuition, creativity and silent knowledge.
Translated into Spanish, it would mean that perhaps instead of inflarte to view webpages looking for things, you could meditate or take long walks silently to let the outbreak information is not received within and what existing and known.
I wish I could explain this clearly because it is very important. Knowledge is acquired and not only learn, but also comes from within, one springs from its natural source. In fact, many of the things that we learn from outside, actually are not learning for the first time, but what we do is, forgive the repetition, become aware of something we already knew. So my advice is always to accumulate data, emptied them and to receive information arising out let inside.
And here all I wanted to tell. But if you want to know more, I invite you to watch this video , short but quite significant and enjoyable.
